Lag spikes on any game when using teamspeak 3

I recently just built a new gaming computer, in preparation for upcoming games in late 2015. Initially I booted it up and downloaded cs go to test it out. It worked fine. Good frames, good ping, all was going well. I then downloaded teamspeak so that i could speak with my friends. Upon downloading and using teamspeak i found that my ping spiked in every online game i played, cs go, dayz, arma. If i play a game without teamspeak my ping goes back to normal. I have yet to find a solution for this. My drivers are all up to date and i use an ethernet cable. My internet is fine as I've previously been able to play games and talk on teamspeak.

FIXED IT!
there was a program that came with my motherboard called smartspeedlan. This was the cause.
