what civilization game is closes to the civilization the revolution on xbox 360

i just went to my cousins house and played civilization revolution on the xbox 360 i was wondering witch would closes to that experience

i heard 4 and 5 are debated to be the best too i was wondering witch one was closes to civilization the revolution

The Civ games on PC are the real Civ games. Revolution is kind of a simplified version...the PC games are more complex and better games at that. Get 5 with X-packs.

thats what i heard i just wanted a similar experience. so 5 with the xpacks is the closes

I mean...its still different. But it is easy to understand and extremely fun with the Xpacs. So yea, I would say that is the closest.

I'd get 5. It's fun but tends to make me not get enough hours sleep for work when I start playing it :( If I were a bum I be scared to think how long I'd play in single sittings.

I never played it. I have heard nothing but good things though. No PC civ is going to be like Civ Rev though.

4 is decent but kinda glad to be rid of the death dot zerg style combat, which 5 doesnt have makes things more interestng for me.

Civ 2.
Civ 3 only if you like the Germans.
Civ 5 is the best by far but much more complex then the silly Revolution.

5 with expansions is definitely the one to go for, it is more complex game but once you learn the basics you'll be set; the user guide section can give you good advice if you get stumped.

4 with expansions is still a good game, iirc the game is in square grid style opposed to 5's hexagon layout, simpler graphics as the game is quite old by today's standards. if you're short of cash however this is a solid game that'll keep you busy ^.^

both games offer much more complexity than the 360 version. anecdotally i grabbed the 360 version when it was free on Live and i couldn't get into it at all.i think i was spoiled by the originals it was inspired from.

tldr: both games are a solid purchase :)
