What's it say under Control Panel > Sound > Communications ?

This is likely why the 'sound cuts off'.

As for the thread title: Don't use that as the input device (Control Panel; Steam's settings; the game's settings.)

I take a look at it and i says 4 options. I try them all and i doesnt work. The 4 options are:

- Silence all other sounds

- The volume of other noises reduce by 80%

- The volume of other noises reduce by 50%

- No action.

Naturally my point was that you should have it on the bottom if you don't want traffic to mute the playback audio (which was my assumption) considering you were connecting to a multiplayer game.

Microphone can be unchecked from the Recording -tab; or Steam's settings or the game's. I don't see what the input audio has anything to do with sounds being cut off.

I fixed the problem! I just need to go to the Recording tab and delete the microphone from the computer! Thank you for your help! :)
