In June 11, Valve started Steam Summer Sale 2015 with Steam Monster Summer Game, Your objective is to defeat monsters by clicking on them (with higher levels of click damage, you can beat monsters as fast as you can), Your teammates are steam users who are on your lane, you have to help them beat monsters and reach higher levels that contains higher monsters level, you can buy abilities or just wait for them to drop as a treasure. Each time you beat a monster, you will be fighting 3 hard monsters and 1 big monster, each time you beat them will drop a special abilities and high coins, the more coins you receive, the more you can upgrade.

The game, in my opinion, was pathetic.

That's probably because you didn't understand the meta game and theorycrafting that went behind the game. Granted it's not for everyone as only around 32,000 people got the 100M badge but it was really enjoyable to see just how far we could push the limits of a clicking game. But honestly I think the community that was formed around the game was the most enjoyable part for a lot of people.

Lol. Can I ask what was the highest level you got in the minigame since I can't see in your profile? If you think that the point of the game was based around manually clicking and going afk to passively gain levels then you obviously don't know much about the game at all. You may think it's a gimmick but there was a lot of thought behind the strategies used and entire groups and communities were made based solely on that. Very different from a mere gimmick if you ask me.

Manually upgrading? Are you insane? That's too much work. That's why there are scripts for that!
Install a script, start the game and then do nothing for 23 hours.
