How to change location of save data?

steam keeps uploading my game save data to my onedrive for a few games instead of keeping it on my ssd and its taking up space on my onedrive and cannot access the data while offline. I'm worried that if I move it my games won't be able to access their save data. Is there a way to change the location?

In OneDrive sync settings select the Choose folders option, and de-select the game folder.

Thats MS-onedrive issue and not a steam problem, steam has no controll over what one drive is doing, and technicaly its game devs that use Document folder and Microsoft that has change to cover Document folder in cloud.

So steam cant help you at all, i dont work for steam, im a user just like you here.

he cant MS change the way and deselect folder will remove content at pc read exclamation mark in botton, ( and what game are we talking about some might have other choise in save location. )

its funny you can exit onecloud and then it work , but then online it remove data away from the place, not sure what MS did, or maybe i did a mistake then i just test this few hours ago.

( my game is ESO i want addon folder away from Document + all the Lua files alot of onedrive activation that not need at all. ) and ESO seem to have hardcode into Document Folder, or i have not found the right info in how to change it )

you might want to make a steam support ticket then its a steam game. ( i cant, i have a none steam game ESO ) but have same issue with onedrive. ( atleast you know why i cant help you with my steam ticket. )
