Windows 10

Be careful with windows 10.
Many games will never work with it.

Many things don't work with Windows 10 if you did a fresh install either, as those things need .NET Framework 3.5 to run and Windows 10 comes with .NET Framework 4.5. .NET Framework 3.5 requires .NET Framework 3.5 to install, as away.

Oh, and Just Cause 2 doesn't work either, it says missing executable even after a reinstall and verifying the cache.

I don't understand how many people are rushing to upgrade to Win 10. Upgrading when everything works fine is just asking for problems. Not to mention that it is better to make a fresh install, which can take hours with all the games you would have to reinstall.

Some people just want "the latest and greatest" and are willing to put up with the headaches of being an early adopter. People sign up for betas, preview builds, and experimental ones all the time. Win 10 has had great critical and user reception aside from some of the priivacy concerns (which pretty much anyone with a smartphone has been giving away for years). There's also people who never came to terms with Windows 8 and MS is giving them a free way out of it.

Mobile OS's have also been conditioning people upgrade OS's on almost yearly basis

I don't think I will upgrade anytime soon, I will probably snipe it at the last moment though just have it, but hell microsoft really wants to watch the whole world.

I just posted it because you made it sound like JC2 doesn't work on win 10 while others say it does. I assume you have already tried this https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8676-EFLX-7453 ?

Valve games work well. I had some glitches that happen rarely. Check my profile pics if you want to see the hl2:ep2 ones.

Fresh instal of win10 and i keep geting alot of DISK WRITE ERROR, soo annoying i have keep re-downloading the game til it works. As far i can tell its a win10 and steam issue, my HDD is working 100% fine.

I was able to play (2 separate comps) JC2 on the preview/beta version clean install and can still open/play it on the upgrade versions.

Help- Since I upgraded to Windows 10, every time I try to login to COH2 I get the following error message. "The Steam Servers are too busy to handle your request for Company of Heroes 2. Error Code 41".
I cannot find code 41 but I have done all that is recommended for code 53, but no luck.
Haven't been able to log in to COH2 for about 2 weeks!!! Any ideas out there?

Fair amount of those listed games are remastered and are on Steam.

Also, they probably do work, just need a bit of tinkering to get working. Upgrading to a new OS on day 1 and then wondering why you are having problems is exactly why you should stick with what you have for the time being.

Looks like Microsoft got it's hooks in a lot of people, I guess Cortana, and the sleek look of 10's screen really sold you guys on the idea of getting windows 10 now rather then waiting till DX12 and the next generation of PC games comes out. I'll wait a year or so, when games start coming out that require Windows 10 to run without using compatability mode. Besides I don't need an intelligent app that I can talk and ask to look up things for me, play songs ect. that will in the end will just make me lazy, Cortana belongs in the Halo universe not ours.
