Whats the deal with Astro headsets?!

So I wanna buy an Astro headset but there are tons and I dont really know the difference. What is the best one for a reasonableish price (I'd perfer 7.1 audio, dont care about wired or wireless). Also, they all work with windows 10, right?

Edit: These are for gaming, I need a built in mic ( I dont need them too high quality, but i need to be able to talk to my friends (im using a $15-$30 Sades headset RN, so again, no need for high quality)

Vmoda m100 or senn 598 are WAY better than the astros. I have used turtle beach px5s, a40s, siberias v2, px4, senns 558, senns 598, vmoda M100 and various others. By FAR the best I have used is either the 598s or the m100. My favorite being the M100, but 598s are not far off.

I'd say get the Sennheiser HD 558 unless you are someone who likes a lot of bass. If you like bass, then I recommend v-moda headphones. I also recommend getting a table top mic such as a Blue Snowball. You can also buy a mic to attach to your headphones to make them act like a heatset, if you prefer.

What mics attach to headsets (links or names)?! And I dont care too much about bass, so Sennheiser HD 558s sound pretty good, i was just worried about a mic.

Ya you could either get the table top like suggested or a clip on zicman mic I think they are called. 558 are the third best I have used, so if you decide to get those then you are not by any means making a wrong choice, very good headphones.

598s have a little less bass than the 558; however, the sound positioning on the 598s are FANTASTIC! If you are playing competitive then the 598s are some of the best headphones one can get I would say. The m100s are no slouch in sound positioning either (with XL pads), but not as good as the 598s.
