Steam games wont save

I just installed steam on my new notebook, all is fine, no problems runing games or play but, for some reason, I just cant save games! I his save game, for example on Banished, it look like it saves game, but when I try open game its not there. If I try to search my HD for game looking for its name, Its not there, so it look like saves are not even created. Also settings changes in games are not saved. This problem I have with all steam games, exept Command Modern Air Naval Op.

Cant imagine what it is. I reinstalled steam, I reinstalled games, but no help. Any idea?

Command Modern Air Naval Op is working because its only game that asks directly and automaticaly where to save. All other games that doesnt work dont asks, they automatically saving. Its like Steam doesnt know where save directory is.

Oh one more thing. Close Combat Gateway to Caen doesnt start. When I start it it says: "Could not determine aplication directory".

Are you running under an Administrator level account in Windows? This sounds like a user-rights issue - try running Steam from an "Administrator" level account or right clicking on Steam and choosing "Run as Adminstrator" from the context menu.

I run as admin in windows and I also run Steam on admin level, but its not working.

Hmm....I would try temporarily disabling your anti-virus software, it may be preventing Steam games from saving somehow. If that doesn't work, I'd recommend doing a full malware/virus scan.

No luck. I use Norton 360 so I turned off firewall and protection, then runed game, saved game, when I tried to load game it doesnt work. No change. Its strange because I run same protection on other PC where I dont get any problems.

I doubt it's Norton as I use the latest version and I personally have no issues saving games. I would try closing/disabling any unnecessary background programs/processes to see if that makes a difference and do a full malwar/virus scan while you're at it.

It not Norton. I run on other PC same softs as on this notebook with no problems. Strange thing is that ONLY game that is runing with saving is Command Modern Air Naval Op. This game is different as it is "windows only" game, I mean its runing just on windows engine, even its steam supported.

It must be steam problem. I just downloaded Order of Battle - Pacific, its game that I dont run with steam and it works. Apparently savegame doesnt work only on steam games. Any idea?

this is some kind of windows10 vs Steam issue. I got same soft and games instaled on other PC with windows7 and it works fine.

Ok. I reinstalled steam, games, other soft ... but problem is still there. Steam games wont save game. I shut down cloud sync, no help. I run admin on windows... Any help apreciate

nope still have this problem. But Im sure its Windows10 vs Steam problem. I got 2 computers and on PC with old windows 7 is no problem.
