Two gifts disappeared after I gifted it

Yesterday I helped my friend to make his steam account. After it I decided to gift him CS: Complete as his first game. I've sent it, he got notification. Then he pressed something like "Keep the gift in the inventory" and it didn't appeared in his inventory later. Same story was with second gift. On the third gift everything gone well, because that time we have chosen "Add game to my library". The question is: Can you restore that 2 missing gifts to my or my friend's account?

Primary is on Steam -client, alt is on my web-browser. help.steampowered.com seems to have refund buttons on my own purchases; but not on my alt. account's Helpdesk -page.

I tried adding

&issueid=108

but still no go. I guess that doesn't apply to inventory; not redeemed items.

This should be possible though, as

Refunds on Gifts
We are unable to offer refunds for gifts after they have been redeemed by the recipient.

Suggesting it works prior (and honestly, works post too if they agree to it as mentioned earlier.)

So it's not just a single person bug? And it could be fixed soon?
Well, I will try to refund if anything else will help and steam including steam support.

Well, I'd say that it's a server side issue that the inventory isn't displaying right. If so, it's temporary.

Unsure of where the connection is in its entirety as it doesn't happen on all my accounts using the same platforms.

Just a thought, haven't tested, but maybe it has something to do with the Inventory Tabs? In which case, if your friend has CS:GO items, it might work(?)

I have found a possible solution. I added funds on friends acc and then his inventory started to work fine.

Now both gifts are in his steam inventory. Maybe adding funds wasn't the real solution and it was really just a temporary bug, i'm not sure. Just writing for guys which will read this in the future.

Seems to still be bugging on my alt. account. Maybe it did contribute to something.

Your friend is still limited though (and my other alt. isn't), so it's not that.

Huzzah, I traded my alt. account a coupon and the tabs became visible, as did the testing gift.
