CS:GO Item not Showing up in Inventory

Hi, I recently have purchased an, "AWP Hyper Beast - Battle Scarred". I bought it a few minutes ago and it's not showing up in my inventory. I don't have CS:GO, as I was buying it later today. Do I have to buy the game for the items to show up, and will they even show up after I buy it? To be more specific, I'm not buying the game with steam, I'm buying it with a redeem key or something like that.

Try to list something on the Steam Community Market; unlist and see if that does anything to your inventory. Owning the game in question shouldn't be a requirement.

Yes, I have listed and unlisted an item, a Strange Fire Axe, but said Battle Scarred AWP Hyper Beast is still not in my inventory.

You'd have to be in the game to do that, there's a [Rename] -button.
