Account Has Been Impersonated and Resulted in Lose of Skins
Okay, so this was sent in as a support ticket. Although, i see no harm posting it here as the community may have some valuable knowledge.

Alright, so this afternoon, 7th of September, 2015 at about 5:20pm, i was discussing with someone in the CSGO community about a trade i wished to make with him. Unfortunately im unable to show any proof of this conversation as he has now blocked my account. Although, in the conversation he said he wished to trade a skin with me but he wanted proof the my skin wasn't fake. In order to do this he asked me to trade with a friend. I know this friend of mine in real life and he was more than happy to help out. SO i traded my item to him so the desired trader could see it in my friends inventory, which he did. Although, during this time, the trader had changed his name to my exact display name on Steam and also had changed his icon to the one im currently using. So after the guy had seen that the knife was in my friends inventory, my friend went to trade my knife back to me but of course went onto the other guys account because he was impersonating me. My friend traded the knife to him and we soon found out not soon after that it indeed was not me. He blocked both of our accounts but my friend happened to get screenshots of his account name and friends list which will be attached. we do believe how ever that the items he has not only scammed from us but also others are in an alternate account of his still under the same name as mine 'bluevenom' which is completely private. A screenshot of this account will also be attached. Also attached will be an email of the trade offer that my friend has which was with the impersonator. This email will show foreign language, at the time we weren't sure why this was the case, but now as we have found out it was a scam. We would like to know if there is any possible way that ALL items that have been scammed, not only from me but many others in the community could be returned. If not, if they can be confiscated from him and have his account completely banned from steam. This is not acceptable. What he has done, impersonation, is a criminal offence and if taken further this person could possibly see himself heavily charged. Regardless, my friend and myself would just like to see our items back in our inventories and possible action to make the CSGO community a better place.
Thankyou for you time.
Kind regards,
-Axel Goodall. Steam ID BlueVenom_

Scammed items or gifts are not returned

Okay fair enough. But he still impersonated correct? Like i said, this is a criminal offence. I still want him punished for his actions

The old middleman scam, it still works because there are still enough gullible idiots falling for that shoddy story. Let's hope you're smart enough to learn from this.
You should read the Scam FAQ Teutep linked to you as it warns you about that particular scam and others.

Not here to recieve negative comments. Here simply for a resolution. Yes i was stupid enough to fall for something like this, and yes i will learn from it but i know this. I dont need you to tell me that :)
good

There is no resolution, you gave the item(s) away and confirmed it is a gift.
You will not get your item(s) back.
Report the profile(s) that were involved in that scam and move on.

Im happy to accept that the items are now gone. But what is the possibility that this account will be deleted or removed with the items confiscated from him? Im certain im not the only one who has been scammed by him so id be glad if the filth lost everything

Im not talking about the trade. Im talking about the criminal offence he committed. You know impersonation? Yeah that one.

The victim(s) can report the user from the profile. (More > Report Violation)

There's a category for [Impersonating another user]

it would only be criminal if he did that with your real name.

Blocking shouldn't prevent you from doing this.

You can still fetch his/her profile from here: http://steamcommunity.com/my/inventoryhistory/

No it wouldnt, he has forged my details and abused it for his own benifit. That is impersonation.
