Family Sharing - Can I see when somebody is using my account?
I'd like to see when my nephew is using my Steam library as I might do something else rather than boot him off when he's playing because I am just a sweet guy.

I don't see any indicator telling me when he is accessing it but maybe I just haven't fired up Steam while he is? Does it tell you when you login if a family member is using your library or do you just blindly boot them whenever you start Steam?

That brings up another question. Does being on Steam at all, like perusing the store boot them or is it just if you fire up one of your games then it does? Sometimes I might visit just to check the feed, see what friends have been doing, post in a group of friends or something like that and not even play anything. I am wondering if just logging into the client boots them off or not.

I did do some searching and read the relevent FAQ about Family Sharing but can't seem to find the answers to these questions. Does anybody know how this stuff works? It would be nice if I had the option to check if he is playing before i decide to play something. I might elect to mercilessly boot him on some occasions but other times I might just go play a GOG, Blizzard or console game instead and let him have his fun.

Lastly, if it turns out that only when I fire up a game does it boot him, what if I play in offline mode? Would that make any difference or does any access of the library - online or off, boot him off in 5 minutes time?

Thanks for any info.

Your library shows, next to the play button "Library in use by" when its indeed in use by someone else.
