A friend of mine and I (mostly me, dragged him along) panicked during Steam's Christmas Sale and locked our accounts on Christmas Day, trying to recover our accounts back was a nightmare. I managed to get mine to work but we only just found out that my friend's hasn't and we're in the process of trying to fix that nightmare.
You just have to prove ownership on the account
Is there a way to do that without having to deal with submitting a helpdesk ticket to steam support? Because if so, that's the option I was hoping to avoid.
How woudl you prove ownership without sending a ticket? You have to prove you own the account. You locked it so previous methodologies are no longer valid
