Unreal engine lag please help

Ok so i have a problem that no matter how small the game if it is made with unreal engine it lags, for instance orion prelude, i played it on a really crappy computer and ran fine. Go home to play it and cant run it on my desktop i use for lots of other games that i get great fps on, i have also had weird experineces with unreal before so could comeone please help
