Fallout 3 ERROR

Hello today I bought the game Fallout 3 on Steam installation was fine but when I wanted to start the game proves to me there is launcher and install Click on it and give it to me this,, Error Fallout 3 does not Appear to Be Installed and the installer Could not be found to try exploring your DVD-ROM Drive and Selecting setup.exe to install the game '' Please talk to me I tried to look for solutions on the internet but nothing :(

This problems similar to me, always said "The installer could not be found".
Question, do you ever install cracked version of Fallout 3 before? For me that the cause of this problems.
For me, here how i fixed it
- Uninstall both of version (back up the steam if you dont want to download again)
- Go to Register Setting via Regedit
- Search any Value that contain Fallout3 and delete them especial in the area HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Restart you computer
- Install again the Fallout and try it now.

You should have bought Fallout 3 GOTY instead. Gives far less problems. As I know they are two completly different entries on Steam.

Fallout 3 system req's are "Operating system: Windows XP/Vista". The game is old and may not work on 7 or later, as you've apparently found out.

If you google around, you can find 3rd party patches to help make the game work on Win 7. But if you haven't already tried, click the .exe in the game folder and setting it to run in XP compatibility and see if that works. If not, then search the patch out online.

I play it on Windows 7 64bit. One of the common fixes is the multi-core optimizing

Open the folder 'My Documents' / 'My Games' / 'Fallout3'
Look for and open up the file FALLOUT.ini.
Inside FALLOUT.ini look for a group called [general].
Inside the general group, after all the configuration parameters, just copy and paste the following two lines:

bUseThreadedAI=1
iNumHWThreads=2
