applications don't show up on volume meter windows 10
i was playing a game the other day and the sound suddenly cut out, thought it was related to that game as youtube and system sounds still worked but when i tried to play doom 2 or any other game sound didn't work for them either so then it was obvious it wasn't a problem with those. so i open the volume mixer and nothing is displaying on it except for the device/speaker/master volume part, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? not been able to find anything on the internet

(also i've tried restarting before you ask)

Master Volume is all u will see unless u click "Mixer"

And apps don't show down there in Mixer if they are not open.

Could be sound driver perhaps. What do u have for Motherboard / Audio?

Make sure Playback > Advanced is setup for 16bit / 48khz ~ otherwise some games may have issues if 24bit is enabled.
