Cd key not working

I bought Garrys Mod and when i typed in the cd key steam said it was wrong
What should i do?

Make sure you've got the digits correct and if the key still doesn't work or is stated 'invalid', you'd need to contact the retailer you purchased the game from.

Hello Fox,
First of all, if you bought Garry's Mod from the Steam store, you shouldn't have a problem getting it into your libary.
However, if you bought it from a reseller, then you have to take it up with them.
If you DID NOT purchese it from a reseller and you bought it from steam, I would contact Steam support.

Report it to the seller who sold you your code? that's of course if you didn't get scammed, In which case you'd want to file a claim with PayPal or with your credit/debit card company.. either way is effective.
