Can People on your Friends List download viruses to you?
Now this is a question which I guess is the answer no, but I want to make sure, because i've had some risky invites and suspicous acting people, just asking, can they harm my computer in any way? I know, it's a very n00by question and I guess the answer is no, but just for sure. :spycon:

Look, I used to get a lot of spam invites, back then I still had a huge friendslist and accepted anybody. As soon as someone sends you a link (even if it looks like a steamlink) do NOT click it. That is hw most people got scammed.... Be very, very careful with those kind of invites, best don't accept anyone you do not know. If you want to make new friends, do so via threads in game forums or ask people to comment first. A lot of the scammers are too lazy for that, lol.

That's because you are a part of many high-risk groups. You should remove yourself from any trading, giveaways or popular ones whereby bots farm invites through current membership bases.

I don't click any links guys, or anything, I just talk to them, can they still do anything?

No but you shouldn't even add them let alone talk to them. Don't add randoms - they could easily start targeting your friends list and concocting scenarios such as scam opportunities just by this alone. Only add people who you know personally or from a gaming community.
