Need help knowing the limits of my PC for gaming
So this what im working with....

Intel Core i3-3217U
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
400GB External Hard Drive
(If need more info just let me know)
..oh and im running all my settings to max performance and have throttlestop too.

AND YES i know intel's are not gaming laptops and no im not going to just buy a new pc.
Just throwing that out there cause im sure the first dude is just going to say that....anyways

My question is how can i know what game will perform well (Atleast 40FPS on low settings is good for me),,,and which will not, like is there a info sheet i can pull up and simply know. And im writing this post because i was starring at the add to cart button for like 5 mins wondering if Boderlands 2 will run fine

....And Lastly, reccomend me some games! I will basiclly play any game that is decent short of those visual novel games and point and click... Basiclly action games haha

Sorry for the long post, And thanks for taking the time to help me out!

I dont think that Software is accurate... I just had it check Starbound ( A game that i can run at 60fps) and it said I did not have the requirements... Am i miss reading something or what?

NO!!! borderlands 2 will not run fine with your pc specs laptops aren't relly meant for gaming and most games dont like/run on Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. I have 2 questions how much memory do you have? and what operating system do you have/ is it 32 or 64 bit...

What exactly did it display? It always has a list of things that don't fit.

I have 4GB for Ram and like 500GB for free disk space... and ReBoot I just checked like 6 different games and these 2 things are the only things that didnt check off
-Minimum: 2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor
You Have: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3217U CPU @ 1.80GHz
-Dedicated Video RAM 256 MB You have 32.0 MB

You have no graphics card. Only a graphics chip under the CPU. Intel HD and integrated chips generally are a bad choice for gaming.

YES your cpu is weak at 1.8ghz it says you need a minimum of 2.4ghz,also you dont have a dedicated video card gpu yours is integrated and only has 32mb of memory it says you need at least 256mb...

I use game debate for a more accurate results than system labs. Game debate gives bar graphs to portray how powerful your PC is depending the settings used. Also, game debate shows you what is the bottleneck or weakest component that is holding back your PC's playability.

Integrated graphics is never meant to be used for playing games, only to perform basic tasks from watching YouTube to showing images. I remember trying to run Starcraft Brood War on integrated graphics in 2001. Lol, was a bad mistake.

You will need to manually input your PC specs and for each game you want to play.

The thing confuses me is games will perform erraticlly, for example i can run skyrim with 40+ mods at graphics set to medium while getting 35-45 fps... but other games that look just as good or worse than a game like skyrim... i will get like 15 fps on the main menu screen!

Skyrim is a well optimized game and uses a farly old game engine
