The Product Activation not available in your country problem (again)
I've seen recent ones from 2014, but no solutions and since thats a whole year ago I want to see if there is a new solution (my situation). I have bought Resident Evil 5 on Humble Bundle and every time i enter the key it has the pop-up, I've emailed the website but nothing really helpful, so I want to know if the community could help.

Ask the website you purchased it from.

Sounds like the error explains it. You purchased a game from a store that is selling region locked games.

That's what I first did, I have emailed them and yet no response, so not much help at the moment, still waiting for the reply.

All you can do is await a response from Humble Bundle. It is very rare that they make mistakes of this nature and they are the only ones that can resolve it.

mmh. see i've read places that they said use VPN's but i've read up about that on Steam, and I don't trust using it.

You cant activate a game using VPN on steam, unless you want your entire account blocked.

That's what i've been gathering from reading about it.

Why would you consider using such a thing? You'll see your account permenently suspended if you go down this route.

If HB are unwilling to help; it has to be assumed to deliberately manipulated your location of origin to get a cheaper price - stores like this sell legit keys based on the users location so either you were dishonest about this and there's nothing they can do or they made an error in which you are perfectly entitled to an exchange of keys.

I'm sure they're willing to help, and I have no idea how i could've been dishonest.

Then all you can do is await a response and they will assess the transaction and give you a replacement key if an error has been made on their part.

I also realize that my brain can't remember what it means to deliberately manipulate your location of origin, so I need an explanation of that again.

Some people that use these sites give different location to where they reside in an attempt of getting a game at a lower currency rate. Let's say someone is from the USA but tell HumbleBundle they are from Russia so they end up paying a significantly lower rate for a game than if they used their true location. In doing so; they inadvertantly get a key that's region locked because the site thinks the user is from Russia.

I'm not saying you've done such a thing but errors like this are extremely rare and if you've made a transaction that is correct and they've given you an unsuitable key; they will resolve it in your favour when they get back to you.

Ah, well I live in Japan but i use American store which actually makes it sometimes more expensive, but thats the only currency we have in my town, and I got the game for $10 because it was 50% off.

Was this problem ever fixed for you? and if so how long did it take. I currently have the same problem were i bought bayonetta on humble and it wont let me get it on steam

It was solved in 7 days, but the solution was giving me a refund for the purchase.

Giving someone access to your account is a violation of the Steam Subscriber Agreement and can get your account permanently suspended or even terminated.
Additionally, trying to circumvent regional restrictions leads to the same punishment.
