Can you play steam games while running Steam Software?
For example, would I be able to play a Steam game and record it with a piece of recording software available on steam, E.G play terraria while recording it with 3D3Gear?

I would be grateful for any help

Don't see a problem with that as you can run multiple games at once as well.
