View past IP addresses
I recently had steam guard open up saying someone was attempting to log into my account from another location, and it showed a IP.

is there a way for me to see those IP's again since I have dismissed the box now?

Only your ISP has that list. But you can feed the IP to a whois search and find out the country of the IP.

I'd look into mailbox for notifications.

Actually, I'd download free DrWeb LiveCD/LiveUSB, burn it, boot from DVD/USB (you'd better have a wired ethernet connection to get updates or else ), checked for viruses/trojans. No, it's a bad/useless idea to check for viruses if you're running an infected windows OS.

If someone has logged in from anywhere and has passed through steamguard - they have access to your mailbox. And you must find how did that happen first or else they'll do it again or even worse.

to login to your steam you need to acces your emails , most email providers have a login history.
so you can if you have the right email.

an empty history means a hijacker is deleting the history.

I dont think you guys are understanding.

When that box pops up after you logged in saying someone for this ip xx.x.xx.x tried to access your account, it has the IP there. But then I closed the box. Now I need to get it back as I need to know what that IP was

I am not trying to chck for viruses and my ISP WONT have those IP's.
Creep, I haven't got emails for some reason, I think its because they tried to login

I doubt it would help much if you had that ip anyway. I'd bet anything it was comming from a vpn or a server unrelated to any person attempting to compramise your account.

I know for a fact it wasnt from a VPN, but if I had the IP I will know who did it since I know the person is a member of my forum and I can then use the IP to lookup whos account its attached to

the ycan only find your provider with the IP lookup.

and the few times I see a box popup with a login on another location was because people had a browser tool to watcht tv in another country.
