Problem activating rockstar pass for max payne 3....PLEASE HELP

I bought max payne 3 from a store and installed it using CD_ROM before I had a steam account. I purchased the rockstar pass to get bonus content. The problem I am having is that steam is saying I have not activated the game therefore cannot activate bonus content. Is there a way to fix this. I added the game to my games list but this did not work, I need to actually activate it some how. Please help me, much appreciated.

you need to buy max payne 3 in steam in order to make max payne 3 pass work?what are u trying to do?

You can't buy DLC from Steam and use it with a non-Steam version of the game.

if I rebuy the game... will I lose everything I have done in the game? like my multiplayer level?

there is no way if dlc is for steam version

so do you think that I will lose my old information. if re-purchase the game on steam. will I have to delete the old game? I don't want to lose everything I have done

its just same as u played a game in xbox now buying it for play station or like u have a dlc for xbox and trying to activate in play station its diff if max payne 3 steam version use rockstar launcher and rockstar acc to save multiplayer process etc.most likely u maybe lose all

i don;t get u buy a normal max payne 3 version dlc?why u even bying steam version

its clearly say there The Rockstar Pass requires the Steam version of Max Payne 3. Language also supported: Brazilian Portuguese. in green man gaming u should have readed there

ya well like I said I already have the game, I have no problem buying it again but I'm worried i'll lose all my saved data and my level in multiplayer...and I don't know if it was you who messaged me in chat but it says I cant use this feature.
