Cd Key Farming Simulator 2013

Hi, last year I bought Farming Simulator 2013 and installed in my pc.
Last week it has broken Hard-Disk and I had to replace it.
The problem is that the CD of the game is scratched and my reader PC can not read it.
Then I tried to insert the key of steam, but steam writes me that the key is not valid.
So I ask you: you can insert on a steam key physical copy of a game?
