USB Controller
I randomly found an old PC controller in my house, and I was wondering if it was possible to get it working with Steam games (specifically TF2). It is a Saitek P990 Dual Analog controller.

It seems to use DirectInput, not XInput.

Will not work on all games, probably work in Pro Evolution Soccer, I play it with a PlayStation 2 controller. I recommend that you play with an Xbox controller.

I don't own an Xbox controller, and I don't plan on dropping $30 for one. I'll probably look into a cheaper XInput controller.

If anyone else sees this, and thinks there is a way, please help.

TF2 is an FPS. You don't play an FPS with a gamepad. Period.

Debatable, but I'd like to try it.

You're gonna su suck badly. Its not debatable either,
Microsoft conducted research on that, they wanted to enable cross-platform competitive FPS'ing and found that even mediocre LC players with their mice could wile the floor with the best console players. While there are ways to even the odds like bloody narrow FoV or downplay gunplay in favor of melee attacks with extremely generous hit zones, they aren't a cure. And TF2 employs none of them anyway.

I was only using TF2 as an example for what I'd like to do, but that is some interesting research. Thanks for sharing it. :)
