Can't add phone number for security

Today Steam propose to me to add phone number but when I type it the button next don't work ... Same for you ?

It's not fixed, still with the latest (non-beta) Steam client the form doesn't work.

To be specific: I can enter the phone number, press Next, it sends me the code to my phone, I type the code in the box provided, the 'Next' button is disabled and does nothing.

Yep same thing for me. Tried both client and browser. I've just had a gut full of this tonight. Had issues with an unrelated app and site earlier and wasted tons of time on that too.

Developers need to test, test and test the ♥♥♥♥ out of stuff under load. I don't think steam ever do this from the issues they are always having.

I had the same issue, I logged off steam and the restarted it and that did it for me. Make sure there is not as space before the code, sometimes when you copy the code a space gets put in front of it.

Tried again and it worked this time. Though unlike the previous times I wasn't doing it in response to steam prompting but went and seeked out the option on another day.
I think when it prompts it is probably doing the same for a lot of people and we are each competing for the system.

I do not remember exactly but if in the box there is a (+44) that stands for the "0" at the start of the number so if your number was "THIS NUMBER IS FAKE" 07346855674 you would put 7346855674 and leave the +44 at the start

Well I know that wasn't my problem as I did that that's pretty much how I have my numbered entered in everywhere +61 xxxx etc. Did the exact same thing on the day it worked for me.
