Steam Game Gifs
I've seen people make steam game gifs and post them in the community hub and I can't figure out how people do it.

you buy a game from the steam store as a gift than you can trade it from your inventory.

I fail to recognize how gif made from screenshot frames can be called your own artwork.

I know, ppl do it. But it doesn't means it's legit.

even after googling it I still don't get it.
my bad :P

.gif = Graphics Interchange Format. The only commonly used picture format which allows multiple frames in 1 file, therefore it can create a animation too.

yes I know all that but I do not get it in relation to any steam feature.
is this a question on how to post an animated .gif.
that I get.

i mean like this http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=445000968 how do i make a gif like that.

To question: Animated gifs can be created with Photoshop since version CS3.
In older versions it can be done in Adobe ImageReady which was shipped together with Photoshop. Since CS3 most functions where merged directly into Photoshop, as long for many users swapping between two programs was bothersome.

Guess there must be some free programs for it too. Google is your friend.

I would just google "create animated .gif"

plenty websites too that offer it.

oh okay! i thought it was a steam feature to capture footage and convert it to a gif
Astraea Kisaragi Sep 16, 2015 @ 12:44am
God no. That would be like putting out fire with gasoline. Personally I haven't seen a single .gif file yet which I could consider as legit artwork.
Is always either game footage or trolling gif which has nothing to do with anything on Steam.
Creep Sep 16, 2015 @ 12:52am
if it is from your own gameplay ingame why not call it art.

this is an expensive picture and I guess they call it art too.
