steam system info detection.
on my computer i have a motherboard which includes a video card intel 4600....
also i have another video card geforce gtx 660....
now when i check the system info on steam... it seems steam recognized my video card intel 4600...but it didnt recognize my gtx 660 which is a much better video card correct???
now question is how do i make steam recognize the gtx 660 maybe a reinstall???? since i have disabled the intel 4600 a reinstall might work...
the bigger question is what if this issue is effecting on gameplay??? because i play games through steam if the software doesnt recognize a better video card im wondering maybe there is a directed effect on games while playing...

Is your cable hooked up to your GTX 660 card? Does your drivers have that card as the one being used?

If so, it doesn't matter.

Install drivers

If your graphics card isn't being recognized then some games won't be able to be on the highest settings without issues.

Check to see if your drivers are installed and updated.
Check to see if the graphics card is in properly.
You could try disabling the integrated chip as well.

i disabled the intel 4600 long time ago... but it was long after i installed steam so maybe a simple remove and reinstall might solve that problem.... everything is updated

It doesn't matter if Steam detects your hardware properly or not. Steam isn't the instance to decide what GPU to use.

Steam support will tell you the same, Steam doesn't determine which GPU to use. The driver does. And if you've disabled the integrated GPU in the BIOS, it can't even run at all.

Where and how have you disabled that?

BIOS = UEFI in case yours doesn't actually say that.
