Note that Steam is 32-bit, so if you have 64-bit Windows "Steam\SteamApps\ would be under "Program Files (x86)" instead of "Program Files"
I've seen this post before and i do nto with to relocate the entirety of my games or steam. just a majority. So I am assuming the .exe steam is looking for is set and locked upon installiation and to move the individual game is just out of the question if i want to launch it through steam again. Thanks though. Tis time to jsut carry over save files!!!
Exit the Steam -client; move both the game folder from under SteamApps\common\ and the corresponding appmanifest_<app-ID>.acf -file from under SteamApps\ to the new location.
Transferring save files from one disk to another is not necessary unless you intend to back up the files. Even on another disk, the game often refers to the save files from the main Steam\userdata\ or %USERPROFILE% -folder located on the disk the operating system resides on.
