Help!!, Unable to find a valid direct 3d device. Check that your graphics driver is working properly

can u guys help me fix this "Unable to find a valid direct 3d device. Check that your graphics driver is working properly" i can play dota 2 perfect before the new update 6,3 gb.. after i finish the update , then i cant play my dota because "Unable to find a valid direct 3d device. Check that your graphics driver is working properly" help me pleaseT__T ty guys

Clean install your videocard drivers.

Easy way to find the download source:
Top left: Steam > [Check for Video Driver Updates]

Make sure it's actually plugged in properly and detected too.
But yeah it's most likely drivers as was already said.

Exactly what he said. Top left of the client, click Steam and then check for video driver updates.

help!
i have the same problem. My driver is NVIDIA 720M and i already update it to the latest version (Version 355.98) but when i click [Check for Video Driver Update] it said that my driver is unknown vendor and it is out of date.

have the same problem.. do all of you have Nvidia graphic cards? I think ever since i updated my video card driver this error came up

Anyone fixed this problem? I did system restore installed graphic card again downloaded 6.7GB dota from steam.I was able to play for 1 day then again the problem started Help Plz

i am also using lenovo y50-70 (GTX 860m), facing the same issue. :( cant fix it yet .

i had the same problem, i fixed it like this:
1.- Go to the Library Steam
2.- On the left in the list of games we click the right button on the “Dota 2” and select “Properties”
3.- Prescribes -dx11 and click OK
And launch game.
