Asus GTX 960 with only 60 FPS?

I previously had a GTX 560 TI which can run more than 100FPS. But recently i change to GTX 960 which can be only run at 60 FPS with displayed setting set to the max? Please help.

Hey there, you got 60 FPS it's because you opened V-Sync so it will cap to 60 FPS because it helps those old graphics card have a smooth gameplay, if you want a higher FPS just turn it off if u wants to

You have most likely activated V-Sync, which caps framerate at the refresh rate of your screen. 60 Hz = 60 FPS.

Deactivte V-Sync in games or drivers.

Game settings.

Disable Vsync.

If that fails, check your GPU drivers for application settings (overrides).

Thx guys. I got it up to 120 FPS but i dont know why i feel like the older graphics is better. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me...

Unlike VGA; DVI and HDMI are both digital connectors.

The most clear difference is that HDMI carries over audio and has default HDCP encryption support. Dual Link DVI can be the better option over HDMI from time to time though; depending on your monitor's and GPU's HDMI version.
