My friends account isn't showing up in family share?
So i want to share danganronpa 3 with her but i'm having trouble with sharing my library. We're not at the same place so is there a way to do it without being in the same location orrr?

Family sharing is for people in your household.

Not within the rules, no.

So you can't share with your brother who's away at college?

You would both need access to the same PC to authorize the sharing. You can only authorize an account that has logged in from the same PC.

I figured it out, i just ended up letting her log into my personal acc from her computer, download something, and then log back into hers

That's exactly what you should never do. :betsy: Logging into someone else's Steam account or letting someone log into yours is not allowed, for reasons that should be obvious. That's why I said there is no way to do it within the rules. :bear:

*sigh* You do realise account sharing isn't allowed, right? If you keep it up and the auto-system can flag it. It will notice a bunch of rapid logins from totally different places.

But security is the most important thing right now - we see this all the time. Change your password and remove any access they have to your account.

Your friend can buy Steam games like everyone else.

(Also, openly admitting you did it on Steam's own open forum isn't the greatest smartest move ever either.)

Edit: Please tell us you at least know this person IRL and it's not a Steam "friend"?

1st of all, yes. this is a real friend of mine, whom i trust.
2nd of all, she's not just using my account. she briefly logged into it so that i could add her to my family sharing, before logging back into hers
