[SOLVED] Money refund for a canceled purchase
So, today I bought some DLC's for a game and paid via bank transfer.

The problem now is that the purchase failed and my money was deducted from my account.
I got a message from Steam that I should buy the DLC's for a second time but then I would just pay for it again.

Is there a way to get my money back?

the money never left the account. it is being held by the bank. the bank will release the funds after a few days.

I don't think Valve supports bank transfers, but maybe I'm not understanding your usage. or I've always used a credit card so maybe I'm not aware of all the options and their pros/cons.

If the transaction failed I would expect the money to end up back in your account. Not all bank transactions are instant so it may take a few days, hard to say with the information provided.

The reason why Valve is asking you to "pay again" is because they were never paid at all and can't control anything about your bank's half of the transaction. If your payment method is problematic then perhaps you need to look at using something else.

They do support bank transfers.

I have the same issue as OP. Still waiting for money to get back or my games added to my acc..

Pretty sure its a steam issue ATM seeing as the steamstats show as steam store partially broken. my guess is transfer works as normal but somehow steam can't recieve due to some error on their side.

How do I get my money back from iDEAL?

You can not revoke or undo an iDEAL payment. As soon as you have approved an iDEAL payment in your internet- or mobile banking environment you can not undo this approval. Recovery is not possible. The amount is directly deducted from your bank account

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

this is for those who go and uses iDEAL Dutch company online banking services.

i highly recommend your to contact them first before writing to Steam Support.

The problem is solved, I wrote to Steam Support and explained the situation to them.
After 1-2 Days I got an answer and they said that they will check my payment and if everything is fine they will send me the DLC's.

To make it short, they sent me the DLC's without any problems.

I got nearly the same problem although i was trying to top up my account for Lost Ark but the transaction failed. Steam still deducted the amount from my account and now they're telling me to wait 30 days because supposedly it's the bank that holds the money. My banking app shows "paid" and nothing as "pending" and it's a bit unnerving tbh.
