Why do you need an API key for? If someone or a site has asked you to place one then your are going to get scammed horrendously.

Then you need to have paid or full licences on record on your account as it tells you. If you don't know why you need an API key then you will get scammed. You wouldn't give a stranger a copy of your house keys would you..

As james said already, you have to buy something on steam, to unlimit your account, then you can use the api feature.

That sentence doesn't make any sense.
If a website is asking for your Steam web API key, they are going to scam you. They do not need it unless they want to do things you do not want.

Stop bothering with the API key.

Be careful.
it does not sound like you know what api key is for... and so it seems like you will get scammed.
with the api key someone can steal items from your steam inventory.
