Steam voice chat no longer working

Is anyone else running into an issue with Steam Voice Chat?

When I go to call someone I get one ring and then the call drops. If anyone calls me they get the same behavior but if those people try calling anyone else they aren't having any issues.

I haven't changed anything on my computer recently and it was working until a few hours ago. Anyone in the PNW region running into an issue?

Thank you all for letting me know... Was worried something was wrong with my computer/internet. It seems group voice chats work fine.

Group works fine for me too so yeah, its probably a serverside issue. I was reading something earlier that there were tons of outages.

I may have found a temporary fix, when it rings, exit the call and try it again. You have to do it every time but Valve needs to fix their thing.

Sooo... buddy and I went into a group chat (still the 2 of us) and the voice chat works there, so try entering a group first.

1:1 voice chat is broken for me too, but voice chat in steam groups is working, for some reason. You can enter a formal steam group and start voice chat, or just create a transient group by adding a 3rd person to a 1:1 chat. Now, in the 3-person chat window, join voice. You can now kick the 3rd person, if you want (but please be polite about it).
