I redeemed a $20 gift card and only got $15
Earlier today I bought a $20 steam gift card from G2A and now after redeeming it and having it converted to my local currency it only came to $15 worth. I would also like it to be unconverted and keep it as Dollars (Accidentally redeemed it when I didn't intend to) but that may be asking for too much. All I want right now is to get my full monies worth. Anyone know how I can get in contact with steam support staff or something so that I can get the full $20?

if a 3rd party site sold you a $20 card that only redeems for $15, then you got scammed by that site, you need to take it up with them. nothing steam can do for you

and you should find a legit site to get your codes from. steam does not censor a site without a really good reason.

You cannot do that, it shouldn't even have ALLOWED you anymore to redeem a gift card in another currency, but your store currency will always match your current region.

You got your full monies worth if it converted it from 1 currency to another. Converting it to another currency doesn't lower its value. A $10 US Card = 7.43 pounds, which is the full worth for instance.

What was the currency of the card, and the exact amounts ore and post conversion?

You most likely got a card with Australian Dollars, which is pretty much exactly 15 US Dollars.
You got scammed by that website. Not a surprise considering what kind of wretched hive of scum and villainy it is.

Thanks for letting me know. It seemed like a normal legit site, I didn't think that it would be dodgy or anything like that, in fact it was one of the first options for buying a giftcard that I got. Anyways I really appreciate it.

Just enter the shopname and the word scam into Google. See for yourself how dodgy it actually is.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check my sources better from now on. It turns out it was Canadian dollars but my local currency has just gotten a whole lot stronger lately which might have been the cause for confusion on my end. Anyways, thanks for your help and advice. You've made a positive impact on my life and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Start buying them from reputable retailers or Steam itself.

I didn't know that they was a dodgy site. I thought they were something like Eneba.com or something like that. Only now I was seeing all the vids about them being dodgy and such. The reason I didn't buy from steam is cuz I have my money on PayPal and Steam doesn't use PayPal. I just googled "$20 steam gift card" or something like that and it was 1 of the first to pop up. Anyways, you live and you learn I guess. Will take this as a lesson for future.

OP said it converted it to dollars so his store is set to the US, hence he can use Paypal.
