Can't disable broadcast

Every guide says to open settings on the top left & cancel there. Or open the overlay and cancel there. I can neither. So my friends can always join my stream. But it's hella annoying with the FPS drops.

Anyone help?

Try this fix, it disables your broadcast but you can activate it whenever you want:

1) go to Steam->Settings->Broadcasting

2) On "Privacy settings", put it as "Broadcasting disabled"

Can you please contact steam support, whatever it is, dont make sense, Alfyus is spot on.

You need to have "Settings" as an option. It doesn't disappear

Only mistake i know is with a Browser and not in client, but even that is to hard to belive is the case here.

Not browser. So, on the top left of the Steam client I have the following options:
- Change account
- Go offline
- Check Steam for updates
- Backup/restore
- Exit

Are you using some sort of Steam Skin?

can we agree on steam support want or should know what this is about.
it sounds like the client got a odd issue or is tamper with.

feel free to reset it . but never seen a client with no setting
