Change File Destination
Downloaded a game and it automatically found my "Documents" folder and stored the files there.
I want it shifted to Programs Folder. Tried drag and drop and it caused issues playing the game. Uninstalled and re-installed (just to be thorough), but nowhere in the process for install is there an option to choose destination.
Funny thing is that another game I downloaded on the same day did not get put into the ""Documents" folder........
How do I move the game files without causing issues, or do I just deal with it.
Thanks.

Depends on the game and where the game devs want to put those files.

That one. As the immediately above said, it's the game developer who decides where e.g. configuration and/or saves are stored. Often (and as far as I am concerned, best) in the user's Documents folder, sometimes in the (hidden) user's AppData folder, but these days almost never in a not user-specific location such as Program Files.

You can of course get things going by manually linking directories from the by the game expected location to your desired location --- but don't, certainly not if you'd need help doing that.

You should move all the folders into the recycle bin and start the game from there
