The rest only gets listed without showing any amounts or progress bars and what not
No it didn't but the question was quite unclear here. OP is talking about why his first games on this list...

So, that answers the "24 appearing rather random" part; thanks; the cut-off is not 24 achievements, but simply first 10. What remains is: why?!? :-)

I would assume query-overhead. Some people out there - legitimate or not - have thousands of games perfected which would then cause this page to not only query what games those are but also the achievement-list for each game
