Linking EA Play account games through Steam
Hi,

I've tried to google the issue but it's getting me confused.

Google says to find an EA Play game on Steam and hit "Play" so I went to Command and Conquer and it says buy EA Play subscription, or buy the game outright. My Steam and Origin accounts are linked as I bought Mirror's Edge way back at the start of the year and it boots up Origin to play it, and I have the EA Play subscription on the Origin Client.

I know I can add games manually as a "Non-Steam Game" but I like all the community features, like screenshots, guides, forums, etc. Much prefer Steam library over the Origin client all around really. But I can't figure out how to get the few Origin Games I've downloaded through the EA Play sub to appear into the Steam library.

Not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong... there was no FAQ thing relating to EA Play either on Steam, and on Origin, it just tells me to find the game on the Steam store and hit play to link it, to which I can't find a 'play' only purchase button.

If anyone can shed light into how to do it, that'd be great lol

Bought on Steam > Origin account linked > Play.

Bought on Origin > play on Origin.

EA Play is not transferable between Steam and Origin.

Okay cool, that'd be where the confusion is coming from :) Thank you

maybe when my membership comes up for renewal in June I'll cancel and open it through Steam unless things change between times :)

Please note:

Features available on Steam with regard to EA Play games depends on what EA implemented when coming back to Steam. Others using the EA Play service on Steam could maybe throw light on what is available.

This is so stupid so the only way to get EA play games for free on Steam is to buy EA play through steam. If you already have EA play with origin you are SOL. I dont get it!!!

I've bought EAFC 24 on EA desktop app and today I've decided to buy EA play membership to play the 10h before the official release. I've linked the accounts between Steam and EA app before and purchased the membership on steam (since is the only one that has the 1 month option... on EA app it only has the 3 month membership). But now , when I log into EA desktop app, it does not show the EA play membership activate, even though the accounts are already linked. Can someone help me?

Is EA Play available on other platforms?

Yes! EA Play is available for PC via Steam or EA App as well as on Xbox One and PlayStation®4. Please note: while EA Play is available on multiple platforms your membership is tied to the platform you joined on. If you joined on Steam, your Play List, member discount, and all other benefits will only be available here.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
