Can you remove yourself from someone else's family sharing?
Urgh. So,

Pre-Breakup, my ex shared his Steam library with me via Family Library Sharing. Post-Breakup, I've blocked him, hoping that it would keep me from having access to his games (I feel SUPER weird just with them being there), but I can still play them despite having him blocked.

The situation doesn't exactly permit me to just hit him up and ask him if he can revoke my access. Or, well, talk to him at all. Is there a way to do this myself?

Hm, the problem is that he authorized it from my computer, and it's his games that are being shared, so that page doesn't display any accounts or devices to disable. I tried unblocking to see if it'd show something, but it still showed nothing.

Yeah. FIgured I'd give the forum a shot, but you're probably right. Thanks anyways!

Since the "Manage Family Library Sharing" page literally lets you edit every other connection type to your account, it would be nice to have the option to remove yourself from all authorized connections regardless of which user initiated the account link.

I was looking for the same answer you were because I don't want to have to fiddle about with my SO's computer to do the same thing. Because if I login to her computer, she makes me fix all of the things she hasn't told me were broken or buggy for months, and I'm trying to teach her to fix her own basic computer issues.

I deleted friend and reinstalled Steam. His shared games disappeared.

Apologies for necro’ing this thread but I had to find the solution myself and this is the only unlocked post I found about it.

The file "Steam\config\config.vdf" ("Steam" being the installation folder of your steam client) has a list near the bottom with the key "AuthorizedDevice". If you find it (ctrl + f helps) It has the IDs of everyone that shared their games on your machine. These are the same IDs that show up in the “userdata” folder.

If there's only one you can just remove the ID and matching data surrounded by brackets, but if there's multiple accounts sharing you might want to find out which one belongs to the person you want to remove.

One way to do this is to use this link: https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner= , where you’d place the id after the = and it’d show you the trading interface with that account. If you can’t see any info about the person then you’ve probably found the right one.

There's also a community tool called "sfs-select" for those who don't want to do this manually:

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
