[SOLVED]Unable to change password because it is too "weak"

I have been trying to change my steam password through the steam client and I am getting nowhere.
I have seen posts about this in the past about a year ago but with no resolution, so I thought I'd ask again.

If I try an add a new password I will get the spinning symbol for a while, as if it is trying to determine the strength of my password. Now, no matter what I put in it says that the password is too weak, even if I do something random like DSFuh3423BCIUSDF877.
NOTHING I type in seems to satisfy it.

I can't believe this bug has been going on for over a year, this is terrible, especially for something as serious as a password system. Does anyone know what to do about this?

Use symbols as well as upper- and lower-case letters and numbers.

Thanks. You know what. This wasnt working at all yesterday. Now it is accepting passwords that is just made up of lower case letters. Very strange. But thanks again. Looks like it was just some random bug. Cheers

It was a bug or a problem with steam connecting to the server. The example I gave was just an example. I tried numbers and symbols and all sorts, but it refused everything. Then the next day it accepted it. Thanks for your help though :)
