CSGO Download/Backup
I just bought CSGO from retail and activated the game. But it is 10gb to download which is too much for me as i have an 512kbps internet. My friend also has csgo with him. So can he just give me his csgo backup and then i install it on my steam account? Will it work? Please help!:steamsad:

Yes, you can legally use his Steam Backup to install it.

Yes. 100% sure so long as backup is only 2 weeks old.

Once on your machine it might not work right away when you try to launch it but don't be concerned, you'll more than likely have to verify the game cache for it to adapt to your system, you can do this by....

Close the game > right click it > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache

It will download any necessary files that it needs.
