Sonic Lost World controller not working

My Xbox 360 Controller is not working for this game ive uninstalled it a couple of times verified the integrity of the game cache and all I get is nothing. This controller and many others work with other sonic games and fighting games like mortal kombat etc. Plz help.

I had this problem and fixed it using x360ce, it's a program that emulates the Xbox 360 controller (as odd as that sounds). What you have to do is put the program into the same folder as the Sonic Lost World executable (slw.exe, wherever you installed the game) and set up your 360 controller to emulate a 360 controller, as odd as that sounds, it worked.

x360ce isn't working for me. when i have the files for it in the slw directory, the game crashes upon launch. been giving me a headache all night x(

What i noticed is whenever i have my xbox controller plugged in the game crashes. If i run it without it plugged in it starts up fine but the minute i plug in my xbox controller it crashes
