Screen flickers when I click, only in steam games.

So Im using windows 8 and eveytime I click or anything ingame the screen flickers to the desktop. Its anoying and making my games unplayable.

I'm also having the same issue. I've tried uninstalling my mouse, switching to a new mouse, restarting Steam, verifying the cache, reinstalling my mouse. Nothing. Tried running in window mode and disabling vsync. Nothing works. Seems like it's only the left click.

It's as if the cursor isn't focussing on the application.

sadly I have not found a solution..... It's weird, like only a few games have this issue! No clue why :/

I have found a way to fix it
So all you have to do is go to task manager>properties of the game that is currently running>compatibility>run compatibility troubleshooter>Try recommended settings>test programme>If that worked proceed to click 'save settings'

I found it finally... (for CS CZ)
Go to your file location (SteamLibrary\steamapps\common) right click on "hl.exe" select properties then in compatibility tab for compatibility mode select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and below in Setting tick on "Run this program as an administrator" now click Apply....
Now open the game, voilà no more flickering.

for me games work fine but its the actual steam application that flickers when in open it
