Download the game again for multiple Steam accounts on one PC?
Hello there!

My dad and I have separate Steam accounts and we'd like to play Red Dead Online on my PC since his laptop can't run the game.

If I download the game using my account, will he be able to play the game on his account without having to redownload it first? We both own the game on our accounts.

The game has around 150 GB and I'd really like to avoid having to download it multiple times.

The Steam installation on your computer will recognize that a copy of RDR is installed in the library folder(s). When your dad logs into his Steam account on your computer, it will authorize him to play the game from the files in your library folder(s).

Ok, I know I'd have to copy the game files if I wanted to play the game on 2 different PCs.

I'd like to know if multiple Steam accounts can play the game on the same PC without copying files or redownloading the game.
