Can't access inventory history, any fixes?

I have tried to access my inventory history on and off for a few months and it has never worked. I always get

Sorry! An error was encountered while processing your request: There was a problem loading your inventory history.

I tried contacting Steam support but they say it is a network issue on my end which I highly doubt due to me being able to access any other Steam pages just fine.

Is there any way to fix this? I've tried using the Steam client, multiple browsers, and different PCs and none work.

I had it a few times, this can also happen with other functions on Steam.

I am not going to debate who's fault it is, what can help though is to clean your cache, clean your PC and restart, if that did not work, just have patience as things get fixed at some point.

Yea, I've had my inventory not load plenty of times so I know to just wait like an hour and try again but the inventory history has never once worked. I've tried it daily for the past week or so and also tried to access it a year or two back and it never worked then either.

I've cleared cache, tried on Chrome and Edge, tried using the client, tried all that on both my PC and laptop, but it never worked.

You can copy your profile URL in your browser and check your inventory.

Your inventory history only count for certain games, I have checked mine, it works as intended.

Yes, I know. And the issue is that mine doesn't work, as stated in my original post when I try to go to my inventory history I get this

I feel you, it is extremely frustrating.

I had a "flaming" discussion about it with mods a while ago, I actually spoke with 4 different ones and they could not help the situation at all.

It is something in the code, something is out of place so that something else does not work, at some point things go straight again, at random, for no reason.

That error might be due to a big inventories and/or big library of games. Probably steam is trying to merge all history between multiple games or maybe one of the games has an issue? I don't know but here is a solution

Replace APPID for a game id. For steam that would be 753.

Now your history for steam will load. There you can filter by multiple game's inventories.

I did fix mine because I no longer get that (generic) error and it loads pretty fast. Sorry it didn't work for you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
