How/Where do I put in a coupon Code?

I have recieved 3 coupon codes, they have keys just like getting a game key woudl give you, but they can not be added to your inventory via the activate a product line (Steam considers them to be invalid codes). I don't plan on using them immediatly, so I wanted to save them to steam because I tend to lose track of things.

you can add the codes right now
1.look at the bottom left click on (ADD A GAME)
2.click on (Active a product on steam)
3.done
i dont think you cant put it in your invo unless it was gifted

there is no such thing as coupon codes for steam. if it is a steam game you need to purchase the game on the shop that the coupon is for .. but not on steam.

Zero: I did that, steam said 'invalid code'

7%: the coupons were part of a bundle of codes, redeemable through steam. The games were successfully redeemed, the coupons have the same code format as the games. It seems logical that these coupon codes are intended for steam.

Example: one of the bundled games was 'Life is strange', that redeemed just fine, and there is a coupon for 10% off seasons 2-5. There is no link to another store, and the instructions only talk about redeeming through steam.

Hello, I was wondering about this as well as I have the same bundle. I'm trying to figure out how to use the coupon code I have for 20% off my next digital game cart purchase. This and two other coupon codes came with the Square Enix Holiday Bundle and the instructions just say to use the Steam "Add a game..." function. Thanks!
