Dead Island 2011 "Pre-owned/key isiue"

Hi. I've bought pre-owned "Dead island" and the code provided is not valid as probably previous owner had played it also. I do have steam account and some games however this one is CD version from the shop. Can I get new key somehow? Thanks.

They wont issue you a new code since the code is probably activated on another account.

'Pre-owned' PC games are worthless as once the key is used and tied to an account; it cannot be used again. You can only purchase DRM-bound titles brand new and sealed either from retailers or though online stores such as Steam or others which distribute keys as new.

Where did you get the game from?

Nope you bought a worthless piece of plastic. Steam games cant be resold since you can activate any Steam Key just once. Once activated its forever tied to that account.
