Ethernet doesn't work with Steam.

I've been able to use my ethernet cable perfectly fine, no issues and superb speed, though after a week of being away from my computer I get back on, install like 3 updates for games (out of the 12 that needed to be updated) then instantly go down to 0 kb/s download speed.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Killer e2200 drivers, but still doesn't work. Wi-Fi works perfectly fine though, at the cost of download speed.

If anybody knows any reason why this is happening and how to fix it, please let me know!

I have a MSI A88X-G45 Gaming motherboard, which comes with a Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller pre-installed.

They may be fancy internet stuff but they are just a waste of money when you can just have regular internet and good gaming. My opinion. Get rid of it and use the regular connection. I never had these before and maybe you need to update firmware or something? I recommend visiting forums related to that card.
